Meredith and Mick had one of the most unique and heartfelt wedding ceremonies we’ve ever had at Waipuna. This fun couple knew exactly what style they wanted for their February wedding – combining a relaxed, laid back feel with their love of music to create a fabulous music festival themed event.
Opting for a later ceremony meant Meredith and Mick could spend time earlier in the day with their wonderful photographer, Kelly Shakespeare Photography, so when the ceremony got underway, they could devote the rest of the afternoon and evening to their family and friends.

Guests were personally welcomed to Waipuna by Meredith and Mick and enjoyed a drink before witnessing one of the most emotional ceremonies we’ve ever hosted. There were very few dry eyes as the couple shared their beautiful, personal vows on the terrace, which provided shade from the extremely warm February sun.

The music festival theme saw not one, but three different acts entertaining the happy couple and their guests. The Fisher Ave Street Band got the party started, followed by Lost Circus, and a DJ, who had everyone on the dancefloor well into the night.
The Vagabond Chefs parked their truck up outside Waipuna and created beautiful food for the reception, with the iconic Mr Whippy providing dessert. Later in the night, classic Kiwi cheese rolls were served for supper.

With a Combi van parked up on the lawn, this wedding was so much fun and incredibly heartfelt and personal to this fantastic couple. Congratulations Meredith and Mick!
