It’s not easy finding that perfect way to celebrate!

Sometimes trying to come up with an amazingly special gift or way to really celebrate isn’t easy. We’re not just talking your standard night out, a nice dinner and a couple of wines – we are meaning next level special. You trawl websites looking for that perfect way to spoil your beloved, googling all sorts to try and find something, you’ll know it when you see it, but you aren’t quite sure what it is! None of the options really tick the boxes and none are as jaw-droppingly amazing as the Romantic Escape package at Waipuna!

We take care of all the details!

Let us take the hard work away by organising everything. Literally all you have to do is pack a small overnight bag and wait at your door – far too easy! We’ll take care of the rest and make sure you and your loved one have the most incredible experience to mark whatever special occasion it is for you.

Vicki and her partner experienced exactly that! Vicki was celebrating a significant birthday (turning 50!) and was after a totally different way to celebrate. Somewhere they could get away for the night without travelling too far from Christchurch and where all the details were taken care of. Vicki contacted us and we took care of all the organising, absolutely everything! First, a luxury vehicle arrived at their home to take them to Christchurch Airport where they boarded a helicopter. They were whisked up into the skies overlooking the Canterbury plains with unparalleled views of the Southern Alps for a 40-minute scenic flight – one of the best ways to experience our amazing region.

When you arrive…

Upon landing at Waipuna, they were greeted with exclusive use of the property to unwind and really relax. After exploring the property, they enjoyed drinks (we made sure we knew what they liked to drink – dirty Martini anyone?!) and a beautiful cheeseboard full of delectable local cheeses and nibbles.

Your personal chef!

Jacob from The Bespoke Chef arrived for their five-course degustation dinner. Let me tell you – it was INCREDIBLE! If you haven’t experienced food from The Bespoke Chef before, you are missing out! Vicki and her partner were treated to some of the best dishes around from Jacob, and with complimentary matching wines for each course, its safe to say they were so content and happy with their meal. Dinner was finished off with a little more wine before they retired to the spa to relax and enjoy the peace and gorgeous night skyline, the lights of Christchurch and the surrounds twinkling in the distance.

Despite a sumptuous five course meal for dinner, we couldn’t let them leave without one of our infamous breakfasts! So, before they were due to be picked up, they enjoyed coffee and a delectable cooked breakfast overlooking the gardens at Waipuna.

What a way to celebrate turning fifty! Truly an amazing experience and Vicki was so happy. We were thrilled to get an email from her letting us know her feedback:

“I’m so pleased I chose Waipuna for my birthday celebrations. Thank you so much for making us feel at home and so well looked after.

The view from Waipuna and the sunset was stunning. Jacob’s dinner last night was superb. The flight today was perfect!

The whole experience from Jonathan’s pickup from my house (and delivery this afternoon from GCH to home), to your and Merv’s hospitality (and flowers today), Jacob’s amazing food creations, Fiona’s breakfast this morning, and Jordon’s flight across to Akaroa was all such a treat.

I can’t think of a better way to spend a birthday.

Thank you, Sarah, for putting it all together.”
